About the VI Peel
VI Peels are a medical-grade chemical exfoliation treatment; chemical exfoliants stimulate collagen production, enhance cellular turnover, soften visible signs of aging, and restore a more youthful-looking appearance. (1) Several variations of the VI Peel are available today, including:
- VI Peel (The Original): The original VI Peel is a versatile treatment that can refresh your appearance by improving your skin’s firmness, texture, and overall complexion.
- VI Peel Purify: The VI Peel Purify is ideal for acne-prone patients, as this formula can increase cellular turnover, open the pores, reduce the appearance of pimples, and kill bacteria responsible for breakouts.
- VI Peel Precision Plus: The VI Peel Precision Plus can brighten the skin by suppressing the body’s melanin production while enhancing cellular turnover, leading to a more youthful and glowing complexion.
- VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus: The VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus works to address acne while simultaneously brightening dark spots, smoothing out scarring, and correcting post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- VI Peel Advanced: The VI Peel Advanced can penetrate deeper into the skin than other formulas. This treatment can soften and reduce visible signs of aging, leading to firmer, more elastic, and youthful-looking skin.
- VI Peel Body: This is the first and only professional-grade body peel available. It can effectively address discoloration, stretch marks, wrinkles, body acne, scarring, and more.

Personal Consultation
During your personal consultation, your specialist will meet with you individually to finalize your candidacy and develop the most effective treatment plan. They will converse with you about your medical history, aesthetic goals, and areas of concern. They will also perform a physical evaluation to assess the condition and quality of your skin in your desired treatment areas. Using this information, they will form a personalized plan to help you revitalize the health and appearance of your skin.
To schedule this consultation, please submit our online contact form or call our Houston office at (832) 278-1147.
Procedure
To begin your VI Peel, your specialist will cleanse and sanitize your skin to remove any residual oils, dirt, skin care products, or makeup from the treatment area. They can also apply a topical anesthetic to improve your comfort. They will then apply the chosen VI Peel, evenly coating your skin with the chosen solution. Your specialist will leave the peel on your skin to allow it to work its magic; during this time, you may feel a mild tingling sensation.
The VI Peel is self-neutralizing, so it naturally stops working after about 15 minutes and doesn’t require a separate neutralizing agent to halt the reaction.
Recovery
After a VI Peel, you may experience some redness or tenderness in the treated area, similar to the sensation of a mild sunburn. These effects will subside as your skin heals, but can be minimized by keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized.
After a few days, your skin will start to flake and peel, revealing brighter and fresher skin. You will need to avoid picking or scratching at your skin during this time, as this may accidentally irritate your skin or increase your risk of scarring. It is also important that you avoid any direct or excessive sun exposure and wear adequate sun protection when outside.
Your specialist will provide you with more detailed aftercare instructions during your consultation. By following their advice closely, you can ensure a smooth and speedy recovery.
Results
While some immediate results will be visible, you will begin to notice your skin improve in more ways throughout the week following your treatment. You will be able to enjoy a fresher, brighter, and more radiant appearance, with improved skin texture, a more even skin tone, and diminished signs of aging.
The results of the VI Peel can last for several months. After your results wear off, you are welcome to undergo another peel to prolong the effects. Depending on your skin type and your aesthetic goals, your specialist may also recommend a series of VI Peels instead of a standalone treatment.
